There is no better way to feel part of our congregation than to get involved! We need your talent, treasure and time! The following is a list of some of the areas where we where we need YOU!! Jonah's Fish Fry
SARAH JOHNSON
Jonah’s Fish Fry is our one-and-only church-wide fund raiser open to the public that we will ask you to participate in! The event is held annually on the Friday prior to Mother’s Day. At the fish fry, we serve unlimited fish and have other delicious home-made sides and desserts. It takes a “congregation working together” to make this event run smoothly, so you will be asked to work a shift for set-up/preparation or during the event and to also provide 2-3 desserts to be served that evening. It is a LOT of fun (and hard work) but the community outreach we experience is a wonderful way to promote Immanuel and our Christian faith! Much of the profit that we enjoy is donated to worthy charities/individuals in our community. Look for sign-up sheets in the lounge during the month of April to see how you can help.
Sunday School

You do not need to be a Bible scholar in order to help teach the youth in our church. All you need is a willing heart and a love of children! We need helpers and teachers alike for all age groups from 2 years of age through high school. If you feel that God is leading you in this direction, please contact our Sunday School Superintendent, Ann Welte.
Vacation Bible School

Vacation Bible School at Immanuel is usually held in June or July and runs for 4 days. There are many opportunities to serve, both the week before the event and during the week of Vacation Bible School. Look for postings in the bulletin about the event. Again, if God is leading you in some way to serve children, please contact our Sunday School Superintendent, Ann Welte, at ann.welte@hotmail.com or call her at 812-459-3903
Senior Game Day

Come enjoy a fun afternoon at Senior Game Day(s). We meet twice a month on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays. On the 2nd Wednesday, we play cards, including different kinds of Rummy games. On the 4th Wednesday, we play Bingo. We will provide snacks, please feel free to bring something if you would like, and we ask that you bring a drink.

Fall Bible Study
PASTOR KIRK HORSTMEYER
I am writing four studies which I will be asking every adult to consider going through in order to have four strong points of Scripture emphasized for the whole congregation. I will have one on Grace, one on Baptism, one on the Lord's Supper, and one on His and our Forgiveness. I will offer these studies in September and asking you do one study a week. You can do this individually, as a couple or as a family. I know this is asking you to set aside time and adjust your schedules a little, but I will sincerely strive to make it a blessing and worth your effort.

The services will be centered on these four topics and hymns centering on them as well. I strongly want to enrich all of our understandings and to help bring a stronger bond to the congregation as a whole. This is my Stewardship push. I am going to be asking everyone to make a commitment to working through these four studies. I am praying for His guidance, so I will offer studies you find a blessing and insightful. So please keep this in your prayers for the Lord's blessings comes to us in Grace - through His Word and Sacraments and forgiveness brings us His peace. I pray the Lord will bind us closer to Him and bring a greater unity in our faith and His truths.
